The CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) Working at Height test is important for anyone carrying out scaffolding and roofing work on construction sites at height to ensure all workers are informed and trained to work safely and responsibly in accordance with the law.
Falls from height are one of the most common causes of injury on construction sites and can even result in fatality for both onsite workers and members of the public passing by.
HVACR stands for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.
The Specialist CITB Working at Heights test is a 45min touch-screen test consisting of 50 questions.
Candidates will acquire technical knowledge of safety measurements, high-risk assessment activities, fire prevention and control, manual handling, first aiding, safety behaviours, health and welfare along with the following knowledge and practical skills:
Successful candidates receive a score report and, depending on their other qualifications, a blue, gold or green CSCS card. If you are a Scaffolder, in particular, and you have successfully completed this Working At Heights test, you will also be able to obtain a CISRS card.
Scaffolders and Roofers need to complete this working at heights test.
Although the CSCS card is not a legal requirement for contractors and other major builders there is an increasing demand for workers who do have this CSCS card.
Construction Guidance is available to help you with any questions you may have and can provide you with the appropriate revision material to practice for your test. Our aim is to ensure you feel confident on the day and equipped with the knowledge you need to have the very best chance of passing the test.
