Candidates must complete various courses and tests to qualify for any of the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) cards. Here is some guidance on eligibility and how to obtain each card:
GREEN LABOURERS CSCS CARD
This card is essential for labourers to enter or work in a construction site. You do not have to be qualified or have any certification to apply for a Labourers CSCS card, however, you must have:
- Passed the CITB Operative Health, Safety and Environment test within the last 2 years.
- Complete 3 hours Online Course or a One day Level 1 award health and safety Course.
Once the above have been completed. We will then start the process of your CSCS Card and you should receive it between 5-10 working days.

BLUE SKILLED WORKER CSCS CARD
To obtain a Blue Skilled CSCS card you must have:
- An NVQ2 or SVQ or SVQ 2 qualification.
- Passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test within the last 2 years.
Once you have passed CITB test and we have received the relevant documents. We will then start the process of your CSCS Card and you should receive it between 5-10 working days.

GOLD SKILLED CSCS CARD
To obtain the Gold CSCS card you must have:
- An NVQ3 or SVQ3 qualification in a construction trade industry qualification
- Passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test within the last 2 years.
Once you have passed CITB test and we have received the relevant documents. We will then start the process of your CSCS Card and you should receive it between 5-10 working days.

GOLD SUPERVISOR CSCS CARD
To obtain the Supervisors CSCS Card you must have:
- An NVQ3 or SVQ3 qualification in Supervision.
- Passed the Supervisor CITB Health, Safety and Environment test within the last 2 years.
Once you have passed Supervisor CITB test and we have received the relevant documents. We will then start the process of your CSCS Card and you should receive it between 5-10 working days.

ACADEMICALLY QUALIFIED PERSON CSCS CARD
To qualify for this Card you will need to have one of the following construction qualifications: Degrees, HND's, HNC'S, CIOB Certificates or Nebosh Diploma.
You will also need to complete a Managers & Professionals 45 minutes touch screen test. (Within 2 years)
After completion of the test and appropriate certificate qualification sent over to us via email, we will process your CSCS Card immediately and you will receive it in 5-10 working days.

PROFESSIONALLY QUALIFIED PERSON CSCS CARD
To qualify for this card, you will need to be a current member of an institution and approved by CSCS professional bodies.
You will also need to complete a Managers & Professionals 45 minutes touch screen test. (Within 2 years)
After completion of the test and approved qualification certificate sent over to us via email, we will then process your CSCS Card within 5-10 working days.

BLACK MANAGER CSCS CARD
Managers who need to obtain a Black Manager CSCS card must have:
- A manager or management NVQ or SVQ 4, 5, 6 or 7 qualification.
- Passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test within the last 2 years.
Once you have passed CITB test and we have received the relevant documents. We will then start the process of your CSCS Card and you should receive it between 5-10 working days.

PROVISIONAL CSCS CARD (Temporary Card)
This is a Temporary Labourers card which lasts for 6 months. The card is non-renewable so if you have previously had this provisional CSCS card you will not be able to re-apply and if not qualified will then have no option to go for the Labourers green 5 years CSCS Card. If the Labourers green card is required, please see the Labourers card details. We only advise mostly to get the provisional card if it is a Temporary Job. If it is a Permanent Job or you are going to be in the construction industry for a long time, then a green Labourers CSCS Card is best.
To obtain the Provisional Temporary CSCS card you must have:
- Passed the Operative CITB Health, Safety and Environment test within the last 2 years.
Once you have passed Operative CITB test, we will then start the process of your CSCS Card and you should receive it between 5-10 working days.
